We hear the phrase, “I thought about coming and checking with you, but I just haven’t yet.” all the time. Well, here is your opportunity to come see us. Come see what being an ACTA driver is all about.
Ashe County Transportation invites you to come and join us for a two hour hiring event that will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. During this event, you will get to see and experience first hand what it is like to be an ACTA driver. Our drivers are professionally trained and have a high regard for safety.

- Driver Job Description
- Stories from veteran drivers
- Pre-trip/Post-trip -15 minute session
- ACTA’s technology – 15 minute session
- Mobility Device Securement, Lift & Vehicle overview – 15 minute session
- Mock Trip Experience – 30 minute session
- Paperwork/Snack (Application, etc) if desired – 15 minute session
- Interviews will follow session for anyone interested in applying for employment
Participants must be 21 years of age, have a clean driving record and hold a Class C Drivers License.
